As you unwind in the comfort of our boutique guesthouse or camping site, I wanted to take a moment to share something very close to our hearts. Our cozy retreat is more than just a place to relax—it’s part of a larger mission that aims to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children in need through our affiliated welfare organization, Nandume Welfare Organization.
Founded in 2009 by the compassionate Mrs. Anastasia Gabathuler, Nandume Welfare Organization has been dedicated to providing a safe and caring environment for vulnerable children. Operating from under a shady tree and on the streets due to financial constraints, the organization has consistently offered support and hope to those who need it most. Thanks to the selfless efforts of qualified teachers who volunteer their time, many children receive help with their homework and educational needs. However, there are significant challenges, particularly for older children who have not been able to benefit from these services due to a lack of proper facilities.
Our vision is to establish a comprehensive support system that includes a school and hostel facility where children can not only live but also thrive. The goal is to create a nurturing environment that offers academic support, personal development, and a sense of belonging.
Here’s how we’re working towards this vision and how you can help:
- Hostel Facility Operations: We are striving to provide a comfortable and secure living space for the children, covering accommodation, utilities, and maintenance costs. Your support will ensure that these children have a safe place to call home.
